Thanks for your thoughts, Jason. You know, part of me is ready to just launch out there with something, anything, even if it's in my home with one other person.

Then part of me is afraid of what that might mean...and I do think I'm still stuck in the institutional model where I'm waiting for someone else to do it for me: take the risks, do the planning, make it happen.

Good thoughts Erin, and many good responses. I know its probably been said before, but start in your own home with even 1 friend. Its a start to deeper conversation and who knows maybe something forms. We were a part of 3 other communities until we found something that has lasted and been grounded with about 20 people now for over 2 years. If at first you dont succeed, try.....
