I was talking to my non-Christian Buddhist friend today about how completely and totally whack and off the charts insane it is to believe in a god who became a human and rose from the dead but I believe it anyway.
It is insane, isn't it, Sue. Sometimes my logic gets in the way and I'm not so sure...if it wasn't for how every cell in my body confirms Jesus to me (and he wouldn't be Jesus if he hadn't risen). Ya know?
Yeah, I know what you mean :) And I love how here in this space the doubts are allowed to be here without being any sort of egocentric reflection on my performance :) Wooh! The doubts are part of belief, especially if you are going to believe in something so insane :)
The cosmic Christ. Risen for the whole world. That's the area that gets me. I have all these wonderful heretical ideas about this space, that people like Deepak Chopra know and understand this place even if they can't see the Christ here. Here, all the possibilities exist. It's a rather heady place to be in and a rather gratifying one considering the world is wheeling around like a carnival ride.
I think a lot of people know and understand this place even if they don't see Christ. And I just want to learn from them, like from anyone, and not discount them as non-Christian. Because you see, I know Jesus can protect me from false information...although many Christians would disagree with that statement, it's my story and I'm sticking to it...because I've seen him do it time after time. As long as I look to him for confirmation, I know I won't fall off the edge.
