Sorry I've been absent lately, just haven't had anything really compelling to say. I'm mulling over some things that are going on in my life and processing some spiritual stuff to write about, but nothing gelled as of now.
Took the kids rafting for the first time on Saturday, couldn't have asked for better weather. It was so much fun and the kids said it was the best thing ever. (Well, that just means it will be hard to top.) My dad and bro's are long-time heavy-duty rafters and so I guess my dad decided it was high time my boys were introduced.
Umm ... oh we finally bought our tickets for the trip of a lifetime. No not to some grand exotic destination ... we are going to Indy to meet my husband's biological sisters for the first time. My husband is adopted and a few years ago we were able to track down some of his natural family, found out he has two half-sisters. You can read more about that story here. In any case we've been in touch with them for about 4 years but have never met. So this really is the trip of a lifetime for us and we couldn't be more excited!
I'm looking for my diary of my cross-country trip to Iowa. I thought I knew where it was but I guess it must be in my parent's attic. Have to hunt for it there.
Soooo ... links of note:
GoogleMaps Pedometer - Yup just what it sounds like. (Not affiliated with Google.)
Inbreaking - Social bookmarking for the missional/emerging church.
Prairie Opportunity - Anyone want to move to North Dakota?
The Illuminated Bathtub - Comes in orange, yellow, pink, red, white and multi.
ThereTheir - Don't write like an idiot. Commonly misused homonyms.
Christianity at Archie McPhee - Just check it out. I especially like the Last Supper Lunchbox and the Jesus adhesive tape. Oh and don't forget the Angel Snot. (Please don't take me too seriously.)
The North Pole Webcam - We're not talking Santa here.
One Red Paperclip - If you haven't heard about this, you should have. Who needs money?
The InVoca voice activated universal remote. Hey, we're not lazy or anything, are we?
That's all for today. Later folks.
