...when I realized that I was not just going through a "phase", but was really struggling with the faith I have grown up with, wanting it to be bigger and deeper and more real rather than manufactured, I began asking myself a series of questions. I actually typed them up in Word and edited them as I learned the answers (which, of course, led to more questions). But it was helpful to me to articulate on paper what I was experiencing, and to ask the Lord to either provide or lead me to the answers. I opened it up today for the first time in a couple of months, and as I look back and see how far I've come in embracing my own emerging faith, I am so glad I took the time to pen my thoughts, worries, confusion. Just a suggestion.
